Future Events On August 2010 - the Annual SCFU picnic. Past Events Last November 12, 2009 Special Citizens hosted a fundraising event at Nirvana Restraurant from 6pm. Our goal is to raise $50,000 by showcasing original artwork from autistic as well as a variety of other artists. There were raffles, live auctions and recognition of donors on the night of the event. Related articles: Stephen Wiltshire - CBS, Jonathan Lerman On May 14, 2009 the Anita Zatlow Center for Autism services was opened. On May 12, 2009 A fundraising event was held in a private loft. The event was organised by Mr Brad Keller and he was greatly assisted by Vila Loban, Pravin Mascarenhas and Rosalind McAllister. On August 2008 was the Annual SCFU picnic. On November 2007, A fundraising event was held at WOWY gallery. The event was organised by Rosalind McAllister, Brad Keller and Ali Taylor. On August 2007 was the Annual SCFU picnic. On August 2006 was the Annual SCFU picnic for parents and residents. It is the only time of the year when all the staff of SCFU manage to see one another, in one place. On November 30, 2005 Special Citizens
hosted a reception at the WOWY Gallery in Manhattan. The event was
attended by friends, board members, families and staff as well as
various people from state agencies. In an effort to begin
demonstrating the enormous and beautiful skills of the autistic we
framed artwork done by our consumers. Everyone was amazed at the
magnificent paintings and enjoyed the cocktails and delicious hors
d'oeuvres. This is just a beginning. We hope you will visit our
gallery and copy center in the near future. |
